I usually Flashback older challenges and usually those written by Trevor. Today I realized that in 2016, for just the exact Week 51, I had posted a Holiday Wishes Photo Challenge.
2016 PHOTOCHALLENGE, WEEK 51: HOLIDAY WISHES
This was a creative challenge since it not only incorporated the photography aspect of an image. Holiday decorations or at a very minimum, lettering on the image to enhance the holiday theme.
This time there’s a little twist inspired by Maaike’s PICTURE A SONG Photo Challenge. I’d like to see your Holiday Wishes image matched up with the title or some lyrics of your favorite Holiday song.
Example, Jingle Bells has the lyrics
“Dashing through the snow
On a one-horse open sleigh”
These lyrics could easily be matched to the image below as a starting point for your Holiday Wishes Photo Challenge.
To complete your challenge, you will have to shoot an image associated with the title or lyrics of a Holiday Song. Once you’ve acquired your image you can choose to decorate it with elements from older images of yours or choose from a variety of creative possibilities at your disposal.
Since not everyone celebrates Christmas, the challenge is open to any festive Holiday of any denomination. For example, Hanukah ended on the 10th of December but you can still go ahead and apply it to this Challenge.

- Post one original photograph to our active community on our Facebook Group, Flickr Group or 500PX group (or all three). Tag the photo: #10thanniversaryphotochallenge #2018photochallenge #photochallenge #tempusaura
- The shot should be a new shot you took this week, for the current weekly theme, not something from your back catalog or someone else’s image.
- Don’t leave home without your camera. Participating in the 2018 Trevor Carpenter Photo Challenge is fun and easy.
