2022 WEEK 9: FLASHBACK – RUST and SELECTIVE COLOR

This week I’m bringing you back in time when we published RUST challenges. Looking at our website, I realized we had a few RUST-themed challenges including one by Peter Randall. I decided to mix things up. These challenges are fairly similar, except one is a Macro/Close-Up.

You’ll need to choose the rust challenge of your choice. Then we’ll mix this challenge with a SELECTIVE COLOR Challenge from Eric Minbiole…

STEP ONE – CHOOSE YOUR RUST CHALLENGE

STEP TWO – SELECTIVE COLOR

Complete your RUST Challenge by applying selective color to your rust image as per Eric Minbiole’s SELECTIVE COLOR PhotoChallenge. The choice of color is yours, it doesn’t have to be the rust itself kept in color, it can be any aspect of your image. I’m giving you total creative freedom in order to let you come up with a RUST Photograph that has a unique impact.

  2. Apply Selective Color as per Eric’s Photo Challenge
  3. SELECTIVE COLOR on RUST or other parts of the image

About Steve Troletti

I'm a Location Scout, Editorial, Nature, Wildlife and Environmental Photographer based in Malibu, California. I specialize in Nature and Urban Nature photography including Infrared Landscapes. The Bulk of my work takes place in the Los Angeles, California area, Greater Montreal Region, Canada, Switzerland, France and Varese in Northern Italy. Ethical wildlife photography is the main priority and focus of my work. A minimum disturbance of the animals, their habitat and the environment is my top priority. This applies as much to total wilderness areas as it does to urban nature environments. Ongoing education of environmental issues and building awareness for the protection of wildlife and wilderness areas around the world is what drives me to document the beauty that surrounds us.
