2009 Challenge, Day 273: OUT THE WINDOW

Today is Wednesday, September 30th, 2009. Today’s theme for the 2009 Challenge is OUT THE WINDOW

Shooting out a window is a fun challenge that can help you increase your artistic eye and composition skills. Quite often, we have wonderful art, lurking just outside a window.

If you consider using a tripod, and shooting a few different exposures, you might just come up with a fun HDR. Don’t go overboard, with the etherial, other-world-looking HDRs. Just try to blend 3 or 4 different exposures. Outside is almost always much brighter than inside, so consider making the whole thing more balanced.

Once you’re ready to submit your work to Flickr, you’ve got to do two important things. First, make sure you tag your photos correctly; “2009challenge″ and “2009challenge273“. Also, if you haven’t already, join the PhotoChallenge group on Flickr. Then, submit each day’s photo to the group’s pool.

About Steve Troletti

I'm a Location Scout, Editorial, Nature, Wildlife and Environmental Photographer based in Malibu, California. I specialize in Nature and Urban Nature photography including Infrared Landscapes. The Bulk of my work takes place in the Los Angeles, California area, Greater Montreal Region, Canada, Switzerland, France and Varese in Northern Italy. Ethical wildlife photography is the main priority and focus of my work. A minimum disturbance of the animals, their habitat and the environment is my top priority. This applies as much to total wilderness areas as it does to urban nature environments. Ongoing education of environmental issues and building awareness for the protection of wildlife and wilderness areas around the world is what drives me to document the beauty that surrounds us.
