Today is Sunday, July 26, 2009. Today’s theme for the 2009 Challenge is STITCHED PANORAMA.
Have you ever wanted to capture a breathtaking panorama in a single image? Today is your chance! A stitched panorama is a single image made by combining multiple smaller shots into one large panoramic image. This can take some patience, but the resulting images are worth the effort. To get you pointed in the right direction, here are a couple of tutorials:
If those are not enough for you, just do a google search on “stitched panorama” or “stitched panorama tutorial” and you will have plenty of reading!
Note: To really get a feel for what you can do with a panoramic image, click the sample images here and view the larger sizes.
Once you’re ready to submit your work to Flickr, you’ve got to do two important things. First, make sure you tag your photos correctly; “2009challenge″ and “2009challenge207“. Also, if you haven’t already, join the PhotoChallenge group on Flickr. Then, submit each day’s photo to the group’s pool.
