This week’s challenge rules are simple: Photograph one, single subject. The subject itself can be anything– big, small, still life, or living. The most important goal is to ensure that there is little or nothing else in your photo that distracts from your (single) main subject. The end result will be a clean, uncluttered photo of your subject.
There are a number of ways to help isolate your subject:
- Fill the frame with your subject, such that there is nothing else.
- Choose a nice, plain background that won’t distract from your subject.
- Use a narrow depth of field / selective focus to ensure that your subject is in crisp focus and everything else is blurred.
Naturally the exact technique (or techniques) you choose are up to you. As before, the goal is that you focus on your subject with as few distracting elements as possible. The choice of subject is completely up to you. As always, creative or out of the box ideas are welcome and encouraged.
