2009 Challenge, Day 312: LEAF

Today is Sunday, November 8th, 2009. Today’s theme for the 2009 Challenge is LEAF.

Well, in the Northern Hemisphere, it’s fall or autumn. So, all our leaves are turning orange, red, and brown. Don’t miss this chance to catch all the gorgeous color around us. In fact, you Southern Hemisphere folk can celebrate leaves too! Yours are emerging in new birth.

Now, I’m a bit less interested in large collections of leaves, like simply on a tree. No, I’d love for you to take a quiet walk, and look all around. You’re bound to find some nice looking leaf, juxtaposed with something else. Or maybe it’s beautiful all by its lonesome.

Once you’re ready to submit your work to Flickr, you’ve got to do two important things. First, make sure you tag your photos correctly; “2009challenge″ and “2009challenge312“. Also, if you haven’t already, join the PhotoChallenge group on Flickr. Then, submit each day’s photo to the group’s pool.

About Steve Troletti

I'm a Location Scout, Editorial, Nature, Wildlife and Environmental Photographer based in Malibu, California. I specialize in Nature and Urban Nature photography including Infrared Landscapes. The Bulk of my work takes place in the Los Angeles, California area, Greater Montreal Region, Canada, Switzerland, France and Varese in Northern Italy. Ethical wildlife photography is the main priority and focus of my work. A minimum disturbance of the animals, their habitat and the environment is my top priority. This applies as much to total wilderness areas as it does to urban nature environments. Ongoing education of environmental issues and building awareness for the protection of wildlife and wilderness areas around the world is what drives me to document the beauty that surrounds us.
