2009 Challenge, Day 214: Body Macro: LIPS

Today is Sunday, August 2nd, 2009. This week I’d like to remain working on the skill of macro photography, but focus on the body. Today’s theme for the 2009 Challenge is LIPS.

Most of you will probably shoot the human body, focusing on each theme as each day arrives. Don’t box yourself in though. Feel free to shoot other body forms. Later in the week, you may choose to shoot your dog’s ear or lizard’s skin. Go for it!

A side note, let’s remember that we’re a family friendly blog. I’d hate to have someone stop participating because they found something a little too extreme in the Flickr feed. Just because Flickr allows it, doesn’t mean I’m cool with my 9 year old seeing it. Since we’re shooting bodies all week, try to remain tasteful.

Once you’re ready to submit your work to Flickr, you’ve got to do two important things. First, make sure you tag your photos correctly; “2009challenge″ and “2009challenge214“. Also, if you haven’t already, join the PhotoChallenge group on Flickr. Then, submit each day’s photo to the group’s pool.

About Steve Troletti

I'm a Location Scout, Editorial, Nature, Wildlife and Environmental Photographer based in Malibu, California. I specialize in Nature and Urban Nature photography including Infrared Landscapes. The Bulk of my work takes place in the Los Angeles, California area, Greater Montreal Region, Canada, Switzerland, France and Varese in Northern Italy. Ethical wildlife photography is the main priority and focus of my work. A minimum disturbance of the animals, their habitat and the environment is my top priority. This applies as much to total wilderness areas as it does to urban nature environments. Ongoing education of environmental issues and building awareness for the protection of wildlife and wilderness areas around the world is what drives me to document the beauty that surrounds us.
