2009 Challenge, Day 202: HAIR

"Black is the color of my true love's hair", by zimbia

Today is Tuesday, July 21st, 2009. Today’s theme for the 2009 Challenge is HAIR. Ah, another challenge to shoot something we all have. Some of us have more than others, but it’s there!

Now, recently, the themes have been somewhat practical in nature. Kinda easy to just go out and shoot. Let’s remember, we’re not just trying to successfully photograph the theme. We’re also trying to expand our ability as photographers. So, if you’re not conjuring up some really exciting ideas, and working hard to accomplish them, you’re missing the goal. Today’s photos MUST be better, in every sense of the word, than the photos you took last week and last month.

We’re looking for art here. So go out there and produce it!

Once you’re ready to submit your work to Flickr, you’ve got to do two important things. First, make sure you tag your photos correctly; “2009challenge″ and “2009challenge202“. Also, if you haven’t already, join the PhotoChallenge group on Flickr. Then, submit each day’s photo to the group’s pool.

About Steve Troletti

I'm a Location Scout, Editorial, Nature, Wildlife and Environmental Photographer based in Malibu, California. I specialize in Nature and Urban Nature photography including Infrared Landscapes. The Bulk of my work takes place in the Los Angeles, California area, Greater Montreal Region, Canada, Switzerland, France and Varese in Northern Italy. Ethical wildlife photography is the main priority and focus of my work. A minimum disturbance of the animals, their habitat and the environment is my top priority. This applies as much to total wilderness areas as it does to urban nature environments. Ongoing education of environmental issues and building awareness for the protection of wildlife and wilderness areas around the world is what drives me to document the beauty that surrounds us.
